A piece made for one person
Most of what leaves this house was drawn for someone in particular. A bespoke piece can begin with an existing design in a different stone, or with nothing but an idea and a date. The work is done here, at our own bench in Sitapura, and you see it as it happens.
The process
Three stages, in order

Concept Discussion
Whether it's an existing style with a different choice of metal or stone or a fresh idea right from your imagination, we'll understand your requirement and walk you through the process. You can make an appointment to visit our store or discuss the concept remotely.

Ideation & Design
We will then start with an initial sketch, source metal and stones, and prepare a creative illustration around the idea. We will then provide CAD drawings of the proposed design alongside a quote and timeline for your perusal.

Handcrafting Your Jewellery
Once everything else is approved, our skilled artisans and master jewellers will handcraft your jewellery. We'll also share with you images of the product in the making and after it is completed.
Timeline and cost
What to expect before you enquire
A quote and a delivery date are given in writing at the design stage, once the stones and the setting are settled. Nothing is charged before you approve them.
How long it takes
The timeline follows the stones. A design in materials the house already holds moves quickly. One waiting on a matched pair of emeralds waits on the matching, and that cannot be hurried without it showing in the finished piece. You are given a date in writing once the design and the stones are settled, and that is the date the bench works to.
What it costs
The stone and the making are quoted separately, so you can see what you are paying for in each. There is no single starting figure, because a pair of studs and a ceremonial necklace are not the same undertaking. Tell us the occasion and the budget you have in mind, and we will say plainly what is possible within it before any drawing begins.
Can I have jewellery made to order in Jaipur?
Yes. Gem Plaza makes pieces to order at its M.I. Road showroom in Jaipur and remotely. The work runs in three stages: a conversation about the idea; then sketches, sourced stones, CAD drawings, a quote and a timeline for approval; then handcrafting at the Sitapura atelier, with photographs shared while the piece is being made. Existing designs can be remade in a different metal or stone.
