Viridis

Jaipur has cut the world's emeralds for four centuries. Stones arrive here from Zambia and Colombia because the city holds the hands that know what to do with them — where to open a facet, when to leave an inclusion alone, how to read a rough that another cutter would ruin.

Viridis is the collection where that inheritance is most visible. Every emerald is selected for hue before size: the deep, saturated green that holds its colour under warm light and under daylight, rather than the paler material that photographs well and disappoints in the hand. Clarity is judged the way the trade judges it, not the way a specification sheet does — an emerald with life in it is worth more than a cleaner stone that sits flat.

The settings stay deliberately quiet. Diamonds are used as light around the stone, not competition for it, and the gold is worked so the metal disappears at the shoulder of each piece. Necklaces, earrings, rings and pendants run through the collection, from single-stone pieces that can be worn daily to ceremonial sets built for a wedding.

Every Viridis piece is made in our own atelier in Sitapura, by the same setters who have worked this material for decades.
