The Sitapura workshop
Ten thousand square feet, one floor, and every process between a drawing and a finished piece.

The building
G-1/21-23, Gem & Jewellery Zone
Jaipur 302022, Rajasthan
EPIP Sitapura is the export processing estate on the southern edge of Jaipur, and the Gem & Jewellery Zone within it is where most of the city's serious manufacturing sits. Gem Plaza has a unit there: design and CAD, casting, the bench floor, setting, the kiln room for enamel, polishing, and a quality room at the end of it.
It is thirty minutes from the M.I. Road showroom and about an hour from most hotels in the city. Visitors are welcome by appointment, on any working day, and we do not clear the floor first.
In order
What happens to a piece, from one end of the floor to the other
Seven stages, in sequence. The technical account of each — how the seat is cut, why red enamel is fired last — is on the manufacturing capabilities page.
The technical version →01
CAD & CAM
Drawings become dimensioned models, and models become build-ready resin patterns.

02
Wax & casting
Lost-wax casting in karat gold, alloyed in-house to the colour the piece requires.
03
Handcrafting
Pieces built at the bench from sheet and wire, where a casting will not hold the edge.

04
Stone setting
Prong, bezel, channel and pavé, and the Jaipur disciplines: kundan and jadau.

05
Enamelling & meenakari
Vitreous enamel fired into engraved gold cells, one colour and one firing at a time.

06
Polishing & finishing
Descending abrasive grades, then textures, plating and cleaning before inspection.

07
Quality control & hallmarking
Every piece inspected against its own specification before it leaves the building.
