Collection
Ruby • Diamond
Classic and contemporary ruby jewellery, mixed with diamond, sapphire and emerald.
Ruby is the most demanding stone in the house. Its colour sits in a narrow band — too dark and the stone goes lifeless, too light and it reads as pink sapphire — and the difference between a good ruby and an ordinary one is visible across a room to anyone who has learned to look.
The collection is built around that discipline. It runs from single-stone rings that can be worn every day to ceremonial necklaces where dozens of matched stones have to agree with each other in colour, and matching a suite is slower and harder than finding any one stone in it. Some of these sets take a year to assemble.
What distinguishes the collection is the mixing. Ruby is set against diamond for contrast, against multi-colour sapphire for movement, and against emerald where the piece can carry the weight of both. This is not a conservative approach to a traditional stone; it is how the house has always worked — a Jaipur reading of a material the city has traded for centuries.
Pieces are hand-finished in our atelier, and stone setting is done by karigars who specialise in coloured stone rather than diamond alone.
